Register today!

Arabidopsis thaliana is a common weed that has been transformed into an important model system for plant science research. Join staff from the Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center (ABRC) for a virtual tour of our facilities at The Ohio State University. Get an up-close look at our greenhouse, laboratories, robots and more – all from the comfort of your house.

This program is ideal for students in middle and high school, as well as adults. However, all ages are welcome!

The Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center is a global stock center focused on Arabidopsis thaliana, an important model system for plant science research. Our mission is to collect, reproduce, maintain, and distribute seeds, DNA, and other research resources for Arabidopsis and other related species. We send our samples around the globe, shipping more than 100,000 samples to over 80 countries each year. In addition, we run a variety of education programs for students, teachers, and the public.

Captioning will be provided for all events. If you require additional accommodations, such as interpretation, please contact westfest@osu.edu. Requests made two weeks before the event will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
