Orders


PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE USING CHROME OR FIREFOX TO REGISTER AND PLACE ORDERS. INTERNET EXPLORER AND OTHER BROWSERS ARE NOT SUPPORTED.

All orders need to be placed online.

You can select stocks to add to your cart from the Stock searches or online catalog. You can also type or paste stock numbers, separated by hard returns, into the shopping cart.

You will receive an email confirmation when your order is placed and another email when the order is shipped.

 

COVID19 Update

Order processing and shipping may be delayed due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Thank you for your patience.

We are currently not able to ship dry ice packages to some locations, because Federal Express is unable to provide 2 day shipping. We will contact you by email if we are unable to ship your order.

 

Registration

If you are a donor of a stock or if you have placed an order in the past at TAIR:
• User name will be your email address
• Reset your password
• Complete your personal information (see below)

If you are a new user:
• Sign up to place orders in the future.

To create an account, you and the Principal Investigator (PI) of your lab will need to add your personal information. If you are a K-12 teacher, you are considered a PI for the purpose of setting up an account. You must provide the following information before you can place an order:
• Your job title
• Your telephone number
• Your shipping and billing addresses
• Your shipping address in your native language, if you are located in China or if this will be required for delivery
• Your organization, if you are a PI
• Your PI, if you are not a PI

 

Ordering and Shipping 

Before placing an order

You will need to register online for a new account, or login to an existing account.

Please review our fee structure and payment options.

For international orders, please check whether your country requires a permit or other documentation to import stocks. Seed stocks sent to some countries require a Phytosanitary Certificate, issued through the Ohio Department of Agriculture, or an import permit, issued by the recipient country. There may also be restrictions on special packaging such as dry ice.

If your order must arrive by a specific date, please contact us.

Order Processing

Most orders are processed and shipped within one week of being placed. Large orders (over 100 stocks) and orders that require a phytosanitary certificate may take longer.

Shipping and Delivery

Most orders are shipped by United States Postal Service (USPS). Shipping times are approximately 2-4 weeks for domestic orders and 4-8 weeks for international orders. If you need to track your order, please select express shipping. We are unable to track packages sent by USPS. If you select express shipping, your order will be shipped by United Parcel Service (UPS). Shipping times by UPS are 1-3 days for domestic orders and 2-7 days for international orders.

 

Viewing Past Orders

All orders that you placed will be visible on your dashboard after you login. This includes all orders placed at TAIR. To search for your older TAIR orders, please add a "T" in front of the order number (i.e. TAIR order number - '123456', search here using 'T123456').
