Description:

Sequence-indexed T-DNA insertion line; the T-DNA includes a Ds transposon and a LoxP recombination site. A Basta resistance marker is used to select for the T-DNA and for the Ds transposon following any transposition. However, be aware that lines from this set might not be able to launch their Ds element. Be sure to test any line for the ability to transpose before using it in experiments. Hygromycin resistance can be used for selection of lines where the Ds element has been excised by transposition. WiscDsLox lines do not contain Ac transposase, and the lines should be crossed to a line expressing Ac transposase in order to mobilize the Ds transposon. May be segregating for phenotypes that are not linked to the insertion. May have additional insertions potentially segregating.
