A site-directed mutant cDNA of COMATOSE (At4g39850), causing K487A amino acid change, was expressed under the control of its own promoter in the cts-1 null background.
Growth Requirement: to induce germination, disrupt the seed coat and plate on medium containing sucrose; donor recommends pricking the testa with a needle and germinating on 0.5% Sucrose (B5 or 0.5x MS)
