Description:
Isolated from a population of EMS-mutagenized seedlings homozygous for the T locus (CS69640) in a screen for enhanced expression of an alternatively spliced GFP reporter gene. hgf1-4 is a G775A nucleotide substitution creating a premature termination codon R176STOP. This mutation destroys a splice site. The full DNA sequence of the T locus (Target transgene) can be found under the NCBI accession number, HE582394.
