Isolated from a population of EMS-mutagenized seedlings homozygous for the T locus (CS69640) in a screen for enhanced expression of an alternatively spliced GFP reporter gene. hgf1-6 is a C2238T nucleotide substitution creating a premature termination codon W374STOP.
