Description:
Isolated from a population of EMS-mutagenized seedlings homozygous for the T locus (CS69640) in a screen for enhanced expression of an alternatively spliced GFP reporter gene. hgf1-8 is a C2521T nucleotide substitution resulting in a P439L amino acid substitution in the Tudor-like domain in the C-terminal half of the protein.
