Description:
Transgenic line; The complete cDNA sequence of the isoprene synthase (ISPS) gene (AB266390.1) from Eucalyptus globulus, including the sequence encoding the native transit peptide was placed under control of the Rubisco small subunit promoter RBCS1A (At1g67090) from Arabidopsis thaliana and cloned in the pUC57 vector. The construct was then transferred to the pART27 destination vector. Agrobacterium strain GV3101, transformed with the ISPS construct in pART27, was used to transform Arabidopsis Col-0 plants by the floral dip method. Kanamycin resistant. Homozygous for the transgene.
