Description:
Originally identified in a screen of EMS-mutagenized M2 seedlings. Lacks N-acetyl-glucosaminyltransferase-I activity and is unable to form complex N-glycans in the Golgi apparatus; this point mutation affects the 3'-splice site of intron 14, resulting in frame shifts; fails to react with complex glycan antiserum on immunoblots ("non-stainer"). Backcrossed once to Ler and 7 times to Col.
