Description:
Dissociation (Ds) transposon insertion line, generated using an Ac/Ds tagging system, the precise chromosome location was identified by flank-sequencing, the Ds transposon was mobilized by a genetic cross between plants that were homozygous for a single Ds-T-DNA and plants with a stabilized Ac as a source of the transposase; the Ac-T-DNA carries an Agrobacterial indole acetamide hydrolase gene (tms2) as a negative selectable marker; the Ac element has been removed; plants carrying the transposon (Ds) are resistant to hygromycin; appears to be segregating for hygromycin resistance.
