Description:
Transgenic line; named AIR1-8, auxin induced kanamycin/GUS reporter line; plants contain a T-DNA construct in which the promoter of an auxin-inducible glutathione S-transferase (GST) gene from tobacco has been fused to the kanamycin resistance gene (nptII) as well as to the b-glucuronidase (gusA) reporter gene; used as a background for mutagenesis/selection of auxin related genes; transformed with construct AIR1 containing a tobacco GST promoter upstream of the nptII coding region and the 3' ocs terminator; this line is homozygous for the transgene and has been designated AIR1-8; this line is the parental line for stocks CS225 (gup1-1) and CS226 (gup2-1); kanamycin resistant.
