This set of three stocks can be used with the "Understanding the Influence of Mutations on Protein Structure and Function" module available through CourseSource. In this module, computational molecular modeling is used to demonstrate how DNA mutations cause phenotypes. ASYMMETRIC LEAVES1 and 2 (AS1 and AS2) mutants affecting leaf development are used as an example of this link. The module includes the computational modeling of the AS1 and AS2 normal and mutant proteins. Recommended for Sophomore/Junior Undergraduate level.
