Description:
Erysimum cheiranthoides (wormseed wallflower) variety Konstanz was collected from an agricultural area in Oggenhausen, Germany. After collection, the lineage was maintained in the Konstanz Botanical Garden (Germany). Seeds submitted to the ABRC are from an isolate that was inbred for six generations in a greenhouse at the Boyce Thompson Institute (Ithaca, NY, USA). Seeds have been stored successfully for longer than 2 years at 4 C, but long-term viability is unknown.
Growth Requirement: self-pollinating annual; cold stratification (at least 2 days at 4C) is necessary for germination; grows well in growth chamber or greenhouse conditions; no special treatment is required to induce flowering; generation time is about 10 weeks
