Cell-autonomous (CAUT) line; the genotype and phenotype of the tissue correlate with one another regardless of the genotype of the adjacent tissue; the recessive yellow ch-42 mutant was complemented by transformation with a construct containing the dominant wild-type CH-42 gene of the T-DNA insert; green corrected plants were backcrossed to the yellow ch-42 parent until a 1:1 segregation of yellow to green plants was observed; sequence of flanking the T-DNA insert was recovered by the pCV002GC plasmid and mapped on chromosome 3 using a left border primer and BLAST searches of the Arabidopsis genome sequence at TAIR.
