Description:
Transgenic line pCPC::GUS; for the construction of the CPC promoter::GUS, a PstI-Bbs I fragment of the CPC (CAPRICE) promoter was fused to the GUS reporter gene and was subcloned into pBI101-Hm3 binary vector, this plasmid was introduced into an Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain C58::pGV2260; plant transformation was performed by a vacuum infiltration procedure; expression is prevalent in root hairless cells; CPC protein moves to the hair-forming cells where it represses GL2 expression.
