Description:
leb-2 is a long ER body mutant isolated from EMS-mutagenized GFP-2sc plants. leb-2 has a mutation in a codon (CCT > TCT), which causes a P41S mutation in the PYK10 protein. GFP-2sc is an Arabidopsis (ecotype Col) transformed with a pro35S:SP-GFP-2SC gene encoding SP-GFP-2SC, which is composed of a signal peptide (SP) from pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) 2S albumin followed by GFP and the vacuole-targeting signal of the C-terminal 18-amino acid sequence (Plant Cell Physiol., vol. 41, page 993-1001; Plant J., vol. 35, page 545-555). The construct was inserted into the pBI121 binary vector. Homozygous for the mutation.
