Description:
Transgenic line; The AFB5 genomic region between neighboring genes (from 1267 upstream from ATG to 1139 bp downstream of stop codon) was inserted as an AscI fragment into the MluI site of pMP535, a pCB302 derivative. The stop codon was mutated to create a NheI site into which an XbaI fragment containing a linker (GARGGGGGA) and mCitrine was inserted in frame. It was transformed into the afb5-5 (CS69643) mutant, and this line was one of several found to exhibit root picloram hypersensitivity, increased inflorescence height, and reduced inflorescence branching phenotypes. mCitrine was detected in the same tissues as line #19 (CS69658) but with much brighter fluorescence. Basta resistant. Homozygous for the transgene.
