Description:
sac3a-3 mutant isolated from a population of EMS-mutagenized seedlings homozygous for the T locus (CS69640) in a forward genetic screen for mutants showing modified splicing of an alternatively spliced GFP reporter gene. G to A transition (Chr 2:16428007) results in a mutation in the 3 prime splice site acceptor of the eighth intron, leading to a 9 amino acid insertion and stop codon after V744 at the protein level. Backcrossed once with the wild-type T line (CS69640) and selfed twice to generate the BC1F3 generation. Kanamycin resistant. Homozygous for the transgene.
