Description:
Transgenic line expressing the firefly luciferase reporter gene under the control of the OPT3 promoter. The 3.0 kb sequence upstream from the start codon of OPT3 was cloned into the pENTR/D-TOPO entry vector. The insert was then transferred to a modified pGreenII 0179 plasmid containing the Luciferase coding sequence. Presence of the insert was confirmed by colony PCR and plasmid sequencing. Col-0 plants were transformed by the floral dip method. Hygromycin resistant. Homozygous for the transgene.
