Suppressed mum2 seed coat mucilage extrusion defect. Larger mucilage halo than wild-type Col-2. Seed coat epidermal cells detach from the surface and surround mucilage. Mucilage cellulosic rays collapsed. Primary cell wall remnants detach from the seed coat columellae after mucilage extrusion.
