Accumulation of anthocyanin in young and developing leaves. Adult plants exhibit several morphological abnormalities including stunted growth, shorter petioles and loss of apical dominance resulting in a bushy phenotype. Plants also display spontaneous cell death and hyperaccumulation of jasmonic acid (JA) in response to wounding.
