Description:
G92 mutant obtained by screening a population of ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) mutagenized Col-0 plants expressing the plant Golgi marker ST-GFP for mutants showing aberrant distribution of ST-GFP. G-to-A transition causes conversion of an Arg residue 693 to a Lys residue (Sec24A^R693K) in a region of the protein conserved among Sec24 proteins from other organisms that is considered to be important for cargo binding. Homozygous for the transgene.
