Description:
Transgenic line expressing pML1::KRP1 and fluorescent membrane marker pLH13 (p35S::mCitrine-RCI2A). pML1::KRP1 consists of Kip-related protein 1 (KRP1) under the control of the MERISTEM LAYER 1 (ML1) promoter, pLH13 consists of mCitrine tagged to RARE-COLD-INDUCIBLE 2A (RCI2A) protein driven by the CaMV 35S promoter. The membrane marker silences frequently, and hence requires screening in each generation.

The sepals exhibit a significant increase in the number and size of giant cells compared to Ler-0. The sepals fail to enclose the developing flowers. The plants have an overall short stature, and are early flowering compared to Ler-0 .
