Description:

Natural accession targeted for sequencing using the Illumina HiSeq2000 platform by the J. Ecker laboratory at the Salk Institute-USA as part of the 1001 Genomes Project. Bulk seed were collected from siblings of a single sequenced plant.

Growth Requirement: one week of stratification is recommended to overcome seed dormancy and accomplish optimal germination; seven weeks of vernalization (4C) at rosette stage is recommended to promote earlier flowering

Large rosette with numerous leaves; flat rosette; early leaves are large, wide, having rounded tips, and deeply serrated basal margins; later leaves are smaller, narrower with pointed tips and serrated-crinkled margins; dark-green plants; observed flowering time was greater than 55 days after planting; numerous lateral inflorescences; average height= 62 cm.
