Transgenic line AP1::GUS, contains a restriction fragment that extends from a SacI site approximately 1.7 kb upstream of the transcription start to a SacI site within the untranslated leader region of the AP1 gene; after addition of BamHI linkers, the fragment was inserted into the GUS fusion vector pBI101.2. AP1 expression is a qualitative marker for floral determination.
